Report:
The U15’s got off to a flyer with Jack Armstrong finishing a four man move beautifully after only 20 seconds. Deddy then dominated looking dangerous on every attack. It wasn’t long before the lead was doubled. Again a flowing move down the right flank resulted in a fine cross from David Hayward. Jack Armstrong met the ball perfectly glancing his header into the far corner. At that point it looked like Deddy could run riot as Eynsham had no answer to the pace and quality on show. Deddy went close on numerous occasions, the closest being a 20 yard strike from Hayward which crashed against the crossbar.
However Deddy were playing down the slope with the wind at their backs so 2-0 felt like a slender lead at the break. Deddy were missing a few players, the main one being their Goalkeeper Dan Bates. Jake Morris filled in and gave his all throughout. Unfortunately the slope and wind contributed when he was deceived by a long punt up field. This bounced over his head and was a tap in for the Eynsham forward. This came within a few minutes of the restart and knocked the stuffing out of Deddy, whilst giving the battling Eynsham team a much needed lift.
Instead of playing their football Deddy went into kick and rush mode giving the ball back to Eynsham time and time again. After an innocuous looking challenge was deemed to be a foul, Eynsham crossed for an unmarked player to head home from 3 yards out. The writing was well and truly on the wall now as Deddy looked like caving in under the pressure. With 10 minutes remaining Deddy failed to clear and was punished when Eynsham slotted home past the exposed Morris.
This did spark Deddy back into life and Armstrong nearly completed his hat trick when volleying straight at the home goalkeeper. None of the 3 late corners were converted to leave Deddy the losers in a very entertaining game.

Location: Windmill Deddington
Teams: Deddington vs Ducklington
Age Group: U 15
Score: 4-0
Report:
The U15’s got off to a great start scoring four goals without reply. Jamie Staples 2, Anthony
Charles on his debut and David Hayward scored all four before half time. All the goals were
screamers, including a 25 yarder from David Hayward. Duckilington fought hard in the second half but the Deddy defence held firm to claim a clean
sheet. All the lads performed very well and showed great confidence considering this was the first
game of the season.
